I wish this would happen to the people who stare at their feet while walking down the street.

It's usually a quiet walk to Confusion Corner to catch the 66 in the morning. In a few months (or weeks) this walk will be a deadly obstacle course or ice and snow.

Sunday, October 25, 2009 at 5:10PM I've been searching for more non-tech related sites lately, and discovered this great photoblog about San Francisco called Caliber. I've only been to San Francisco a couple times, but I love the way they are portraying the city, it seems very real and authentic.
I really like photo blogs that don't glamorize their subject, especially if the subject is a city. It would be all too easy to only show the pretty things, and brush over the gritty, dirty aspects. As cool as travel blogs are, they often suffer from this. As a tourist/traveller it's very easy to get caught up in the wonder of the city, and only focus on the beauty. I think this is why I also really enjoy Bryan Scott's site, Winnipeg Love/Hate.
I'd love to show Winnipeg in this way. I think Bryan does a great job of showing the beauty and decay based on our architecture, but I'd like to do something along the lines of stuff that appears on Caliber. I will still need to get over my apprehension of photographing strangers.
